Our Story: A Movement of Faith

How It Started

It all began with 13 adults and 14 kids who believed that church should be more than just a place to gather—it should be a movement.

Founded in Grapevine, Texas, our church started as Christ Fellowship, led by Jamey and Kim Miller, with a passion for discipleship, authentic community, and church planting.

As God grew this vision, we took a bold step. In 2002, we moved to Fort Worth, embracing greater diversity, proximity to Texas Christian University, and a heart for missions. This move wasn’t just about location—it was about stepping into God’s bigger plan.

Milestone Moment: In 2018, Christ Fellowship became Antioch Fort Worth, embracing our identity as part of the Antioch International Movement of Churches, uniting us with a global family passionate about making disciples of all nations.

What We Believe

Our Model

Personal Devotional Life

There is more life of Jesus present when each person is individually connecting with Jesus and then coming together corporately.

Life on Life Discipleship

Jesus modeled intentional discipleship by investing in the disciples, and He asks us to do the same today (Matt 18:20).

Church Gathered

The corporate gathering is an expression of the church, not the expression of the church, that equips the saints and engages the unbelievers, just as Jesus did in Luke 9.

Witnesses in the World

We are equipped to do church in such a way that it can be reproduced anywhere in the world. If Jesus calls us to reach our city, He calls us to reach our nation and the nations.

5 Circles of Church

We grow as followers of Jesus through five key relationships: personal time with Him, discipleship with others, life shared in homes, worship as a gathered church, and living on mission in the world.

Frequently asked questions

Get to Know Antioch Fort Worth

At our core, we are passionate about Jesus, committed to authentic community, and devoted to living on mission. Our purpose is to love God, love one another, and love those who don’t yet know Christ—all while equipping people to share and multiply the life of Christ in their everyday lives.

We believe that a relationship with God is meant to be personal, powerful, and transformative. Encountering God happens in many ways, including:

  • Salvation – Experiencing the life-changing grace of Jesus.
  • The Power of the Holy Spirit – Walking in the fullness of God’s presence.
  • Daily Devotion – Growing through prayer, Scripture, and obedience.

Faith isn’t just about knowledge—it’s about experiencing and walking with God every day.

We believe growing in your faith, becoming more like Jesus, or “discipleship” looks like learning, growing, and supporting each other in real, everyday life—not just in structured settings like church services or Bible studies. It’s not about a program, but an investment in one another. Jesus modeled intentional discipleship by ****investing in His followers and calling us to do the same.

At Antioch, discipleship happens through:

  • LifeGroups – Small gatherings where we encourage one another and grow in faith.
  • Mentorship & Community – Living in close, intentional relationships that support, challenge, encourage, and provide accountability and wisdom.
  • Serving Together – Walking out faith in action as we impact our city.

We believe the local church is God’s plan to reach the world. The church isn’t just a Sunday gathering—it’s people living in relationship with Jesus and with each other.

Here’s how we see it:

The corporate gathering is an expression of the church, not the church itself. It equips believers and welcomes those who don’t yet know Christ. (Luke 9)

  • When each person is personally connecting with Jesus, the entire church is strengthened.
  • Our model is reproducible. If Jesus calls us to reach our city, He also calls us to reach the nations.

Looking for ways to grow? Next Steps

God has given us Himself—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and the fullness of His love as a gift for us to receive. This is the ultimate act of generosity! But it doesn’t stop there. His love is a continual, self-giving love that never ends, and as followers of Jesus, we are called to live the same way.

Generosity is more than just an act—it’s a way of life. We are called to be radically generous with our time, our gifts, and our financial resources.

Why do people give to a church?

Giving isn’t just something we do—it’s an essential part of following Jesus. Here’s why generosity matters:

The Command to Give

Jesus commanded freely and joyfully giving as part of following Him. As His disciples, we are called to reflect His generosity and give to those in need. (Luke 3:11, 6:30; 2 Corinthians 9:7)

Trust

Giving requires trust in God’s provision—not just for ourselves but for others. When we give, we declare that God is our provider and that we trust Him to meet every need. (1 Chronicles 29:10-14; Matthew 6:24; 2 Corinthians 9:8-14)

Financial Freedom

Our culture tells us that wealth defines our worth, but Jesus offers freedom from the grip of materialism. Generosity breaks the power of money over our hearts and allows us to live fully for God. (Matthew 6:19-24)

Impact

Your generosity fuels real Kingdom impact. Your giving supports:

  • Local & global missions
  • Church planting & discipleship
  • Serving the poor, refugees, & vulnerable communities
  • Fighting human trafficking & providing disaster relief

Your generosity could be someone else’s breakthrough. Giving money, resources, or meeting a need demonstrates the heart of the Father and can change a life. (Proverbs 3:27-28; Matthew 25:31-46; Romans 12:13; 2 Corinthians 9:6)
