Our History

Our History

1993

Antioch Fort Worth (originally named Christ Fellowship) is founded with 13 adults and 14 kids in Grapevine, Texas. We meet from house to house with a simple desire to be the church of Jesus Christ in simplicity and power.

1995

A key part of our history has always been church-planting and, in 1995, Christ Fellowship plants its first church in the United States. In 2001, Christ Fellowship officially launches a Church-Planting School, and we continue to multiply, planting new churches in different locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the United States, and around the world.

2001

A 2 year church planting school begins with several young singles and couples with dreams of serving the nations.

2002

Following a strong sense of God’s calling, Christ Fellowship relocates to Fort Worth seeking greater ethnic and economic diversity, access to Texas Christian University, and a headquarters for their church planting movement. Members were challenged to be “missionaries to America” and make the move with the church.

2003

Share Life Now International (SLNI), currently known as AMI FW, is started with a focus on sending and supporting church planting teams across the country and in different parts of the world.

2008

After years of serving and partnering with the Antioch Movement, the leaders of Christ Fellowship understand that the Lord is calling them to formally connect with the Antioch International Movement of Churches, based in Waco, Texas.

2012

After meeting in this shopping center for three years, Christ Fellowship purchases the Southwest Plaza in south Fort Worth, after years of being a mobile church, renting office space and venues. At the time of the purchase, we anticipate there will be several build-out phases as the church grows and the Lord leads

2018

Christ Fellowship officially changes its name to Antioch Fort Worth to reflect our identity and calling to Fort Worth, to the nation, and to the nations of the earth.

2019

Antioch Fort Worth began a two-year discipleship and generosity initiative called Nathan Initiative. Nathan means “given,” and we are people who are Given to God and Given for Others. This marks the first build-out phase as we began construction on a new auditorium, kid's ministry classrooms, and staff offices.

Present Day

When we look back over the years, we are grateful for all God has done, and for the many lives that have been changed and impacted by His grace. Today, as we look forward, we are more excited than ever because we know God is still wanting to use us. Our best days, our best stories, and our best testimonies are in the future as we trust our great God and we're inviting you to be a part.
